Construction industry is accounted for the largest share of fatal injuries

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has released its annual figures for work related fatal injuries for 2017/18. Construction industry is accounted for the largest share of fatal injuries of any industry in Great Britain. There were 38 fatal injuries to construction workers during the last year, up from 30 in the previous year. The number of deaths among construction workers has risen by 27% to 38 in the year to March 2018, according to new figures. The most common causes of fatal injuries continue to be due to workers falling from height.
