This UK Marketing Manager role sits within the UK Distribution and Partners team and manages the marketing efforts for the portfolio of 4 UK trading companies. This individual will set out and deliver marketing initiatives across all UK brands to support each business unit's sales and profit targets. The role involves compiling annual plans and budgets, monitoring expenditures monthly, and evaluating marketing performance.

Responsibilities also include managing external agencies, covering Digital, PR, Advertising, Design, and Print for Companies within the portfolio. Regular assessment and evaluation are required to ensure that Kee Safety receives optimum service and value.

This role involves liaising with the Business Development Director, Group Marketing Director, Brand Manager, and other regional Marketing Managers to ensure the follow-through on global brand guidelines and the consistency of group-wide campaigns and coordination.

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement marketing plans for the portfolio of UK trading businesses, detailing initiatives and costs to deliver sizeable sales and profit growth.
  • Implement annual marketing plans and monitor effectiveness and expenditure against budgets.
  • Manage the corporate image of the UK business units to reflect group policies and guidelines accurately.
  • Support the sales team with market data and analysis.
  • Accompany the sales team customer visits, providing support to our customers by supplying images, data and our marketing materials.
  • Manage all external marketing agencies.
  • Creation of new marketing literature, ensuring all UK business units are supported with appropriate sales tools and literature as required.
  • Managing the 4 UK websites, ensuring each is maintained and updated regularly to improve SEO and return on investment with AdWords spend.
  • Updating Social Media accounts, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, & more
  • Creation of new videos for marketing purposes.
  • Creating monthly newsletters for our customer base.
  • Research specific industrial and commercial sectors and assist with the planning and executing of business development initiatives.
  • Maintain a competitive analysis database to ensure we identify any competitive threats to our market position.
  • Identify and feed new product opportunities into the Group's new product development process.
  • Maintain contact with key customers and prepare appropriate marketing materials and plans as required to support sales initiatives.
  • Ensure Group brand guidelines are maintained across all UK business units.
  • Produce a monthly progress report for review with the UK General Manager.
  • Complete all other tasks required by the UK General Manager as necessary.

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in technical or construction-related disciplines and a technical “mindset" are advantages.
  • Extensive marketing and sales experience in a relevant marketplace, including management of Distributors and Agents. (3 years + successful experience in marketing).
  • Experience in working closely with sales teams and providing solutions based on customers' needs.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. The ability to create/edit videos would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook) and CRM tools.
